Catwalk stairs installed in the 1980s needed significant OSHA upgrades at a Flint Hills Resources (FHR) site in Eagleville, MO to turn a legacy crude oil terminal into a gas storage terminal. Preliminary research by FHR project manager Doug Moran indicated that hiring welders to bring the facility up to code would cost as much as installing a new system. SafeRack Account Managers Rustin Roper and Amber McBee handled the project seamlessly and were very responsive, even after hours as needed.
“When we noticed that the brackets for our handrails weren’t placed properly to slide on at installation, ErectaStep rep Rustin Roper was on it. He took care of the issue immediately, expediting the proper fix so the project stayed on schedule. We will definitely be recommending SafeRack for future FHR upgrades.”
– Doug Moran, Flint Hills Resources Project Manager
The location of the facility was in a remote part of Missouri and mobilization costs for the FHR project were significant. Any delays on the new ErectaStep catwalk installation project would have been costly. According to Moran SafeRack went above and beyond to provide durable aluminum catwalks for their specialty towers, “I know Amber and Rustin jumped through all kinds of hoops to keep our project on time and on budget. Any difficulties on their end never rippled down to us. SafeRack delivered as promised and kept the rest to themselves.”
