ErectaStep Stairs Installed on Standing Seam Metal Roof

The crossover stair unit getting over rooftop pipes was at a large technology company in Seattle. It was installed by their maintenance staff and didn’t require special equipment, custom fabrication, and engineering.

“Installation was a snap. We mounted the stairs on an area where the duct was not perpendicular to the metal roof standing seams. We simply installed some S-5 clamps to align with a section of uni-strut and then bolted the uni-strut to the base of the stairs. It took longer to get the material up on the roof than to install. Very happy with the results. Then we painted the uni-strut safety yellow to match the handrails.”
